Este mes continúa nuestro Programa 'Helga Cine en el Museo'. Con motivo de la exposición 'My atlas # Our Atlas', primera antológica en Europa de Hirschhorn, concedemos al artista carta blanca, quien ha seleccionado un conjunto de siete películas que han marcado artística y vitalmente su visión sobre el mundo. La tarde del jueves 7 de mayo, a las 18.00 h., proyectaremos "Bacurau" de Kleber Mendonca Filho (2019) en el auditorio Helga de Alvear. ¡Os esperamos!

 
I chose this film because it is a beautiful homage to resistance and a powerful hymn for self-defense. Everything is mixed together in a joyful and merciless utopian collectivity that doesn't hesitate to recall and use the most cruel and ancient methods combined with contemporary roughness, if it can help resist invadors and their pitiful plans to take the land of a truly rooted community. I love the headlessness of the characters, the exaggeration, the absoluteness and the radical brinksmanship of the film. Kleber Mendonca Filho is a shaman, a healer, a magician.
