The lost city of Celtic Bethuria

The Celtic Hillfort of Capote has its origins in prehistoric times. The first settlers, in the Chalcolithic, chose a promontory defended by the course of two streams that join together to provide defense and supply. In the II Iron Age some of the buildings that can be seen today were built and that coexist with others that were erected from that time until the first century AD.

The Celtic-influenced castle town was fortified by a good system of walls and organized in its interior with houses, religious buildings, metallurgical workshops, furnaces, mills.. . There is an interesting Interpretation Center that complements the visit that can be free or guided.
