This is a megalithic funerary monument. Its construction is dated during the Neolithic and a recent rehabilitation campaign has managed to enhance the site with a very visual reconstruction that will make you understand perfectly how it was this kind of funerary monuments.
It belongs to the type of corridor dolmens and some of the walls inside (orthostats) have engravings of figures. One of these orthostats has a unique shape in the Iberian Peninsula as it is anthropomorphic.
Very near we will find another dolmen, the one of El Matón, smaller and in bad state of conservation.
How to get there? Leaving Cadalso in the direction of Villasbuenas de Gata, 2.6 km from the village you have to take a track for 1.2 km and then take another one for 600 m that will take you to the place. It is a meadow where you can park your car on the same road.
