One of the most unique and well known natural pools in Extremadura. We propose you to spend the whole day in the middle of nature. This implies a short walk and no beach bar to have anything to drink. But, believe me, it is worth it. It is ideal to spend the whole day, we leave in the morning, park the car at the entrance to the park and walk about 3km along the trail (surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery) to reach the site. Remember to bring comfortable shoes, a towel to lie on a rock and some snacks and soft drinks (or water). Don't forget that you are in a nature reserve, be respectful, don't alter the environment or the animals and of course don't leave any kind of waste (so it doesn't look like you've been there). Otherwise enjoy it. The return, being downhill, will be more comfortable.
There are 3 km of route (uphill) to reach the Pilones. But it is not hard, it is well done. Children can walk without problem (but do not forget to hold on to it, it is a mountain area and we must avoid falls and accidents). It is also suitable for adults who are used to walking. You can bring your pet, but remember, always tied up, even during the bath.
The locals know several access routes and often bathe in the pylons and in various places along the gorge. If you have never been, do not complicate, take the car to the entrance of the Natural Reserve (it is a paid parking), take everything you will need because it is 3 km up to Los Pilones and you will not want to go down for the forgotten sandwich. The route is comfortable but it is in the middle of the mountain, be careful with carelessness. Coming down at the end of the day will be easy.
