One of the most impressive spectacles in the Jerte Valley when the rains have been abundant.

El Caozo is surprising not only because it is a magnificent waterfall, but also because it is practically next to the road (a quick and easy access). In the rainy season, the spectacle is fascinating, nothing that can be told with photographs. In addition, the administration has placed a metal footbridge that allows to approach the torrent of water and has become one of the most photographed places in the valley.
None, children and adults can access the waterfall without any problem. It is only a walk of 100 meters (a little slope and wet road by water, beware of falls). However, it is a wooded area, impossible for vehicles such as strollers or wheelchairs.
Between Valdastillas and Piornal, (just 5 minutes after leaving Valdastillas) with the car. We must take a junction at a sharp bend but perfectly signposted and go only 600 meters once taken the detour. You can't get lost, you will quickly find the parking lots, for about 20 vehicles (sometimes it is difficult to park). We get out of the car and enter a beautiful forest that will lead us to the waterfall through a path of just 100 meters. Easy and for the whole family. Now all that remains is to marvel, climb the walkway and take pictures. Remember, the best time is the rainy season.
