An experience that combines nature, history, and popular culture.
Los Barruecos, located in Malpartida de Cáceres, is a natural site of extraordinary beauty and geological uniqueness. This Natural Monument, declared in 1996, is famous for its unique granite formations and rich biodiversity, especially known for the numerous white stork nests that can be observed in its rocks1. In addition to its natural value, Los Barruecos has gained international recognition for having been one of the chosen settings for the filming of the acclaimed HBO series, Game of Thrones. In particular, it was the dramatic backdrop for the "Battle of the Booty" in the fourth episode of the seventh season, one of the most impressive battle scenes of the series, where Daenerys Targaryen, also known as Khaleesi, attacks Jamie Lannister and his army with the help of her dragons.
