From the Achelense to the present time, passing through the Vetons, Romans, Visigoths and Arabs, all have left their mark in this millenary city.
 
Episcopal See since it was reconquered for the kingdom of Castile, it preserves its cathedral and half of the Catholic diocese that currently shares it with Cáceres. Coria is a mixture of all this.
 
The Roman wall, a multitude of buildings such as the old jail, streets that wind through areas that were once Jewish quarters... At the same time, Coria is the gateway to the northwest of Extremadura, being an obligatory stop for trips to the Sierra de Gata or the region of Las Hurdes.
