Crossroads of Stories
The Plaza Grande and the Plaza Chica are two spaces connected by "El Arquito del Pan" or "Arquito de la Esperancita" in the heart of Zafra.
It is one of the most beautiful towns in the south of Extremadura. Its urban architecture holds many treasures and among all of them we invite you to know its squares . They were renovated in the sixteenth century but its arcades of the fifteenth century were preserved, as well as the Baroque niche with the image of "La Esperancita".
Standing in the middle of both and making a turn of three hundred and sixty degrees will invite you to let your imagination fly and take you back to the late Middle Ages, the time of the Dukes of Feria, who built a palace-fortress next to the squares, which today is home to the Parador de Turismo.
