A must-see place

Charles I of Spain and V of Germany had a dream and had it built in a place rich in water with a large grove of endless and beautiful forests. The Monastery of San Jerónimo de Yuste was the place he chose to rest.
Almost five hundred years after the death of the Holy Roman Emperor, known as "El Césa", the only thing that reigns in this place is peace and calm.

The building is discreet in contrast to its international reputation. To visit the monastery, today occupied by the Hieronymites, is to approach the figure of Charles I without any doubt. It is essential to know the history of that time and the origin of the European Union. Works of art, sober architecture and extraordinary gardens with ponds make this place a must visit.
