The most interesting routes for sightseeing

The Jerte Valley is full of trails and routes. There are so many that sometimes it is difficult for the visitor to choose the most suitable one to spend a nice day. Here are some of the most interesting ones.

Walnut grove route

An obligatory route for anyone who visits the Jerte. And if you go when it has just rained you will witness a wonderful spectacle.

Mojón Blanco Route - PR-CC-14

Climbing to the top of the mountain of Piornal allows us to enjoy endless views of much of the Jerte Valley, but above all, of La Vera, which is just on the other side of the mountain.

Chestnut Tree Route - SL-CC-35

A short route that allows us to contemplate both the landscapes of the Jerte Valley from medium altitude and the huge chestnut trees of Casas del Castañar.

Los Pilones is one of the best known attractions of the Jerte Valley. This is a short route, round trip, that allows us to visit this part of the waterfall.
